Hindu, Muslim families swap kidneys for transplant

mpt New Delhi (ANTARA News) - India's first successful kidney swap has seen a Hindu and a Muslim couple exchange kidneys to save themselves, a report said Friday.
Hindu businessman Dayal Bhanushali received a kidney from a Muslim defence employee Sayeed Mohammed, while his wife gave her organ to Mohammed's wife Shameen, AFP reported quoting the Times of India newspaper.
"This is a new life for me and my family," Shameen told the daily after
surgery on June 8. "I have never felt better," added Dayal
